This is a super scary time for all of us; our world as we know it is currently unrecognisable, and our littlest ones are also experiencing some huge changes. Now more than ever, your family may benefit from mindfulness and meditation to help promote focus, calm and sleep during this confusing time.

These might sound like intimidating concepts; and lots of families don’t know where to start. So we’ve brought together our Digital Toolbox into an easy-to-use calendar of daily activities to help keep you on track.

Print off and keep our 28-day Stay-At-Home Mindfulness Challenge calendar handy to help make mindfulness, meditation and movement a part of your little one’s life. By practising with them you’ll be giving them the gift of positive self-care — and enjoying some quality time together. You never know — you might benefit from taking a short pause in your day too!

75% of parents told Wee Seeds they noticed a change in themselves and their children after doing our daily mindfulness exercises.

The 28-day Wee Seeds routine aims to begin your family’s mindfulness journey. Each day contains a schedule of exercises to help you create a lasting habit of taking a pause, self care, and positive mental health.

We’ve created two designs so you can create a bespoke experience for you and your family. Choose the version you’re going to use together!

How to use:

1. Download our calendar and keep it somewhere you’ll see it, for example save it as your phone lock screen or laptop screensaver; print it out and put it in your purse, stick it on the fridge, or on your wee one’s bedroom wall.

2. Start on any day you like.

3. We recommend you go through all of the exercises and ensure they’re ‘unlocked’ before you begin. To do, this click on the first exercise and press the tick underneath the exercise box to unlock exercise 2. Keep doing this until you reach the final exercise! If you’re new to Wee Seeds, take a few minutes to look over all the exercises before you begin, to ensure you understand them. Don’t worry about feeling confident at this stage, you’ll learn together.

4. Complete the exercises listed for each day. Get your wee one to tick them off or cross them out as you complete them. We’ve sequentially increased the length of sessions as the 28-day plan progresses; as you and your child become more familiar with the exercises and the process of mindfulness and meditation. However, if they’re too long or too short: trust yourself and adapt accordingly. You know yourselves best!

5. For best results, try to stick to the 28-day plan and complete the routine on 28 consecutive days. However, life happens! If you miss a day don’t be upset or cross with yourself. Every day that you and your child spend time with Wee Seeds is a commitment to their emotional literacy, resilience, focus, calmness and kindness — and should always be commended. You’re doing an amazing thing for your child!

6. Keep in touch! We’d love to know how you’re getting on with this 28-day routine. You can connect with us on social media channels: find us on our Instagram (@weeseedsmeditations), our Facebook (Wee Seeds) and our Twitter (@WeeSeeds), or email us at weeseedsmeditations@gmail.com. We also love connecting with our users in our Family Facebook group, a space in which our Wee Seeds Family members can share advice, top tips, and connect over a shared interest in mindfulness and meditation.
