Bringing in 2021 with positivity

by Wee Seeds Founder, Christina Cran

Having a gratitude practice can help to shift thought patterns from negative to positive, lighten your shoulders, and lead to an increased sense of happiness.

We know 2020 has been a hard for everyone: often the difficulties faced can’t even be put into words.

That’s why we’re going into 2021 with a strong sense of being grateful and we’re inviting you along.

Gratitude can be cultivated in kids from an early age — and can be made fun through the likes of the Jar of Awesomeness exercise. You’ll find this here

Try it! Write down three things you are grateful for today. Now make your jar to keep them in.

For adults, the world can weigh heavy on your shoulders, especially just now. Try this practice to see if you can find happiness in your day. Practice by doing it every day, and if you can, do it before bed. Buy a nice journal, write things down. Download one of the many Gratitude apps (we like ‘Gratitude’ app — first on this list or just add them to your Family Gratitude Jar.)

Or you can join our new Wee Seeds Gratitude WhatsApp group and share your gratitude there. Here is the link to join

Gratitude practice is based on sound science: those taking part in a study showed enhanced mood, less illness and less visits to their doctor, as well as other reports of better sleep and increased focus.

Sign up to Wee Seeds for more specially designed mindfulness exercises for nursery, preschool, or early primary mini-minds. Because good mental health starts early.

Find us on Instagram (@weeseedsmeditations), Facebook (Wee Seeds) and our Twitter (@WeeSeeds), or email us at weeseedsmeditations@gmail.com. We’re here for you during lockdown, just tell us what you need. Oh and send us a photo of your Jar, and remember to tag us.
