Mini Mindfulness in Nature
Being outside is so good for our kids — and us, as parents and carers — so we thought we’d focus our #ThursdayThought on some mindful activities you can do in nature.
Here are three ideas for you to try — let us know how you get on below ⤵⤵
👀 Play Focus Eyes — tell them they have a new superpower of amazing eyesight — and get them to focus on the things they can see around them. Play with them too — take turns on what you can see. “I see a red bus”, “I can see my toys”, “I see our dog”.
⛅🌧☁ Cloud Watching — spend some time watching the clouds go by. What can you see?
👃 Smell the air — take a moment to sit still, settle yourself with a few breaths together, and then smell the air. What can you smell? Does the air feel warm or cold as it goes into your nose? What does it feel like as it leaves?
We’d love to hear how you get on with these ideas to seek mindfulness in nature. Let us know by emailing weeseedsmeditations@gmail.com or find us on our Instagram (@weeseedsmeditations), our Facebook (Wee Seeds) and our Twitter (@WeeSeeds).
Get out into the open air and absorb the grounding benefits of mindfulness together. Take good (self) care of yourselves.
Love, Christina and the Wee Seeds Team x
